Easter Egg STEM Challenge
P4/5 participated in an Easter Egg STEM Challenge on the last day of term before the holidays. For this challenge, each team had to design a structure that would balance an Easter Egg using only spaghetti and marshmallows for the structure.
Keira, Evie and Annabel were the winning team – congratulations girls!
Please see the photos below for various stages of our structures getting built.
As part of our topic on the Jacobites, we have been learning about Scottish Clans. We decided to create clans within our class. Each clan has a clan chief and 3 others.
We have been working hard to create our own clan tartans, crests, mottos and songs. Take a look at our clan photos below (our chiefs are holding the signs).

P4/5 have been working hard
to meet their school Eco target – 24.1.17
We had to learn about the water cycle and sources of water pollution. We worked in groups to make posters about what we had learned about the water cycle. In our I.C.T time we researched water pollution in pairs. We then used this information to create a class mind map.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe – 28.11.16
Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes into sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bears his teeth, Winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have Spring again.
Our topic this term is a study of the novel The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
We created our class charter and have been talking about our rights and responsibilities.
As part of our topic we have been researching countries in groups and comparing them to where we live.
