Monday 21st to Thursday 24th March
Monday – Today we had a visit from Maya Koracin from NOV who talked about how they use calculations of speed and distance to help them drill for oil. Children have asked some very challenging questions. Thanks for your input Maya.
Primary 6 have been enjoying learning about Ancient Greece.
This term, P6, have learnt all about Ancient Greece. We have explored the empire looking at the country, regions and cities through map work and research. We have looked at how the people lived, their culture, belief in gods and the useful things they brought to our modern lives – like socks! Currently, we are researching the Olympic games and hope to do lots more with this…..
This has been such a quick term and there are still aspects we wish to explore in this topic, so I expect to continue it for a short while after Easter. Here are some photos of the fabulous Greek temples created as a homework challenge. The children (and parents) have word very hard. They look fantastic!
