There is now a new area to record all our memories from our annual residential Primary 7 trips on our web site. Click on ‘About Us’, then ‘P7 Residential Trips’ to see regular updates throughout our week away.
We all have arrived safe and sound at Cromdale. Children have had their lunch and a chance to unwind at the park. This afternoon we are off to the forest for team building before our dinner and a night walk. All are happy and excited. The timetable shows examples of what we have planned this week although weather depending 🙂
Every child from P1 to P7 were asked what they first think of when they hear the word maths. We had some fantastic responses!
We asked the parents too. Their responses were quite different!
Tonight has been an exciting evening with families and children battling it out for Charleston Quiz Night Champions 2016. It was great to see so many turn up to make the evening a success. It was a very close call, but The Crazy Crew stole the night with a total score of 84.5 out of a possible 85. Well done – excellent team effort.
With thanks to Wellington Hotel who donated the very generous prize of £40 towards a meal at the restaurant.
Thanks to the Parent Council for all their hard work in organisation tonight’s fun.
Today has been our first day of our weeks busy maths schedule. We have had many visitors across the school from a fish monger, engineer from NOV, to parents. Keep checking your child’s class page for pictures and updates.
Remember next week we are going to be celebrating the relevance of maths in our every day lives. Across the week we have lots of interesting visitors from a variety of occupations. Some of these include mums, engineers, tradesmen and accountants to name but a few. Children will have opportunity to hear and take part in activities which will help them recognise the relevance of their learning in maths to their futures.
You are all welcome to attend our maths afternoon on Thursday 24th March. Please come along to the gym hall at 1:30 pm where Mrs Fowler will welcome you. After this you will have opportunity to visit your child’s class and see other work across the school.
Bring your pennies with you, as the children will also have a Fairtrade stall available, with lots of treats to purchase.
Primary 6 have created some fantastic examples of Ancient Greek temples. They all have included all the correct parts of the temples in their 3d structures and they look fantastic! Have a look at our class page for some pictures of their completed designs.
