Primary 7 with Mrs Morrison, Mrs Ferguson and Mrs Milne

Year Book Fundraising

Well done P7 for raising a fantastic £509.02, by organising activities for the playground and a dress up day last week.  The money will be used to pay for our year book and the rest will go towards our Eco target of creating a sheltered/quiet area in the playground.

Aberdeen Ranger Service

Jen and Simon from the Aberdeen Ranger Service visited P7. They explained that they need different aspects of maths as part of the work. We discovered that working out volume, area and volunteer hours were just some skills needed to carry out their roles.  Thank you, Jen and Simon.

 Maths in Engineering

This morning, Martin McArthur came to share how he uses maths as an engineer.  Martin uses maths in all areas of his work, we soon realised that he is a Genius!  We enjoyed our brief look into the world of an engineer. Thank you, Martin.

Learning about Percentages

Today we learned about percentages and discounts and how they are used in everyday life.  Our visitor was Laura Bruce from NOV.  We also talked about the recent changes in the oil industry.

Money, Money, Money!

Richard Foster from Nov came to talk with us today (22.3.16) about profit, loss, expenses and margins.  This is especially useful for P7, as next term we will be running our own business to fundraise for our year book.
